Christian Singles Fellowship

I no longer call you servants . . but friends (John 15:15)

Welcome to the Christian Singles Fellowship Website!

About Us . . .

Christian Singles Fellowship provides support and friendship for single Christians centred around group holidays in the UK. These holidays take place throughout the year in a variety of attractive locations and are specifically designed to provide fun, fellowship and relaxation in a Christian context for single Christians.

Not all single Christians are actively seeking a  marriage partner! At Christian Singles Fellowship, being single is recognized and valued. At the same time, we know of many Christian couples who have met for the first time on such holidays. It is hoped that our holidays provide a safe, friendly and relaxed atmosphere in which single Christians can meet up with old friends and make new ones.

Each of our holidays provides a variety of activities, catering for a wide range of interests - both secular and spiritual - including:

Walks and full-day and half-day visits to local places of interest and other outings
Dances, fun and games
Bible studies and worship
Guest Speakers
Music, Art and Calligraphy Workshops

We can cater for a wide range of ages, and also for guests with special requirements such as difficulties with mobility or particular dietary needs. Please contact us to let us know your requirements, or mention them on the Booking Form.

The emphasis on our holidays is on fun and fellowship. All activities are optional but at the same time we hope you will relax in the friendly atmosphere of our holidays and will want to join in!

Most of our venues offer a choice of accommodation styles with as many single rooms and en-suite rooms as possible.

About our Holidays . . .

We have some really exciting holidays coming up starting with our Summer Holiday at Pilgrim Hall, East Sussex. Please click on the "Future Holidays" button at the bottom of the page for more details.

Easter Break at Wycliffe - Report and Pictures!

CSF Easter Break at the The Wycliffe Centre, High Wycombe, 6 – 9 April 2012

The Wycliffe Centre is the base of Wycliffe Bible Translators. It offered us a high standard of accommodation and good meals. Its location in the Chiltern Hills is quiet and peaceful with a lot of surrounding woodland. It was not difficult to spot red kites in the area from time to time. For some of us it was a  chance to visit a new part of the country.

We arrived on Friday afternoon and during that evening and throughout the weekend it was good to renew old friendships and make new ones.

On the Saturday morning we took a walk through woods to a nearby garden centre where we enjoyed hot drinks at the cafe. That afternoon we visited Hughenden Manor, the home of former Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli. It was interesting to learn about its history in Disraeli's time and about its use by the RAF during the Second World War. In the evening as part of a social we were treated to one of Howard Lowry's quizes.

On Sunday morning we celebrated Easter with a service led by Bryan Conway. On Sunday afternoon we enjoyed a walk along the Thames at Marlow. As the walk progressed the path became more difficult for a mobility scooter used by one of our number. This proved to be no problem as there we several of us in the party who were pleased to help. In the evening several members shared their talents to provide an entertaining evening.

Although it rained from time to time during the weekend much of it seemed to fall at night. It was only on the Monday morning when we were prevented from taking a walk. Instead we enjoyed some indoor games.

We are grateful to the CSF leaders for their efforts in preparing and organising this holiday and their attention to detail. We are thankful too to all who helped on the holiday as they were able, leading prayers, Thoughts for the Day and Epilogues and providing practical support and encouragement.

(With many thanks to Mike T. for his excellent report)

John Grint's Work with Street Children in Tanzania

[Me+14-07-2009.jpg]  Our Autumn issue of CSF News featured the work that CSF Member John Grint is involved with amongst the street children of Kigamboni, Tanzania. This article has generated much interest, and John has very kindly agreed for our website to link in with the website of KSC, the UK-based organisation which is in partnership with the Kigamboni Community Centre, Tanzania, the group that  John works with when he goes out to Africa. John has recently returned from a three month "tour of duty" in Tanzania, and his reports can be found by clicking on the "Members' News" button at the bottom of this page.

Bible by the Beach 4th-7th May 2012

BBtB 2011 Photos

Several CSF members once again met up over the  May Bank Holiday Weekend in Eastbourne for Bible by the Beach which was held at the Congress Theatre.

This year's theme was "Christ in all the Scriptures". The main Bible readings were on Isaiah and were led by Stephen Gaukroger. Each evening there was a main celebration with worship led by Stuart Townend and his band. They also did a late night concert on the Saturday evening.

The morning seminars covered a range of subjects including prayer, and Christ the prophet. In the afternoon the talks were on "Understanding the Trinity" and "Impacting our Communities".

In between sessions we all met up in a local restaurant to have meals together and chat. The weekend was enjoyed by all, and we thank Patricia very much for once again organising our group to attend.   Sarah B.

(Many thanks to Sarah for her excellent report.)
